The Youth Leader's Handbook

Young People
The Diocese of Virginia believes that youth are a priority, not just during our big events, but everyday.

This "handbook" is for any person who ministers with and to young people. If you are a new volunteer or someone who has been at it for generations, there are treasures for all of us. Some of the offering is concrete and some theological. Please use what you need, share with others and let me know what else should be on these pages.

Faithfully,
The Rev. Percy Grant
Assistant to the Bishop for Youth Development

The Prayer for Young People
God our Father, you see your children growing up in an unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways give more life than the ways of the world, and that following you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP
